AMUG
ABU DHABI
Studio Southsea supported design and brand experience agency People & Co on the environmental design concept for the Abu Dhabi Government Meeting (AMUG) 2024. The brief centred on creating a calm, elegant, and highly considered environment that fostered listening, connection, and collaboration across a multi-day government summit.
Working from an early-stage brief and venue information, Studio Southsea led the research, concept development, spatial planning, and 3D visualisation of the environment. The design approach prioritised a neutral, elevated palette, subtle materiality, and flexible spatial layouts, allowing the temporary installation to feel refined, cohesive, and reflective of UAE values. Multiple design options were explored throughout the process to test layouts, material applications, furniture strategies, and lighting atmospheres across the venue.
