We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior 2D/3D CAD Designer to join our team on a remote, project-by-project basis.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro and Trimble LayOut, with extensive experience producing accurate, detailed and presentation-ready technical drawings and 3D models for high-end residential interior design projects.

This role requires a highly organised, efficient and detail-oriented professional who can confidently manage projects independently, maintain consistently high standards and deliver work to agreed deadlines.

Working closely with our founder, you will play a key role in translating creative design concepts into precise, technically considered and professionally presented design documentation.

• Collaborate on the development of design concepts and take ownership of producing high-quality, accurate design documentation for clients, contractors and other key stakeholders.

• Develop detailed 3D models and high-quality visualisations to communicate design intent throughout the design process.

• Produce comprehensive technical drawing packages, including general arrangement plans, furniture layouts, lighting and electrical plans, bespoke joinery details, sections and elevations.

• Prepare professional mood boards, material presentations and supporting documentation for client presentations.

• Assist with the preparation of design meetings, presentations and project deliverables.

• Independently manage multiple projects, prioritising workloads and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

• Proactively initiate design reviews at key project milestones, collaborating with the Lead Designer to ensure design intent and technical requirements are met.

• Research and develop practical technical solutions to resolve design challenges, detailing complexities and construction considerations.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the wider design team to ensure efficient project coordination and a seamless workflow.

• Demonstrate a proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, taking accountability for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of work.

• UK-based applicants only. Candidates must be based and working in the United Kingdom, with extensive experience working in metric measurements. Portfolios must clearly demonstrate proficiency in metric-based technical drawings and documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related discipline is essential.

• Minimum 8 years’ post-graduate experience in 2D/3D design and technical documentation, with substantial experience delivering high-end residential interior design projects.

• Advanced proficiency in SketchUp Pro, with the ability to produce accurate, detailed, well-organised and technically considered 3D models at an exceptionally efficient pace, without compromising quality.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Trimble LayOut, producing comprehensive, accurately scaled, annotated and beautifully presented technical drawing packages.

• Advanced proficiency in rendering software, preferably Enscape or Twinmotion, with the ability to produce high-quality, photorealistic visualisations.

• Proven experience translating design concepts, mood boards, FF&E schedules, sketches and architectural plans into accurate 3D models and detailed technical drawings.

• Strong understanding of interior design principles, spatial planning, materials, construction methods and detailing, combined with a refined eye for aesthetics.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing visually cohesive, meticulously organised and consistently high-quality drawing packages.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English essential.

• Ability to work confidently and independently in a remote environment, demonstrating initiative, accountability and effective communication.

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise workloads and consistently meet deadlines.
