Freelance Mid-weight 2D/3D Designer

We are currently seeking a Freelance Mid-Weight 2D/3D Designer, highly proficient in SketchUp Pro and confident using AutoCAD and LayOut, to work remotely from their own professional setup in support of our growing portfolio of interior design clients.

  • This is a remote role for a Freelance Mid-weight 2D/3D Designer who is proficient in SketchUp Pro and Layout. This role is ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in delivering clean, presentation-ready design documentation for residential interior design projects.

    You’ll be working alongside our founder and creative lead on a project-by-project basis to help bring design concepts to life.

    • Help establish design concepts for new projects and take responsibility for preparing high-quality design documentation for key stakeholders

    • Develop 3D models and renders for use throughout the design process to illustrate the design intent.

    • Produce detailed design drawings including layouts, bespoke joinery, furniture plans, lighting and electrical plans, sections and elevations

    • Prepare mood boards, sample boards and supporting documentation for client presentations

    • Assist with preparation for design meetings and presentations

    • Work collaboratively to meet project deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow across multiple projects

    • Manage multiple projects at once.

    • Initiate reviews at key design stages with the Lead Designer

    • Research technical solutions to resolve design and detailing challenges

    • Someone with a proactive nature, who is organised, and reliable

    • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field

    • Minimum five years post graduate experience in 3D design and documentation, preferably with experience in high-end residential Interior Design.

    • Full proficiency using SketchUp Pro for 3D modelling

    • Full proficiency using LayOut or AutoCAD for for producing scaled, annotated drawing packs

    • Full proficiency using rendering software. Enscape or Twinmotion preferred

    • Experience translating mood boards, FF&E schedules, sketches and plans into 3D models and technical drawings

    • Strong understanding of interior design principles and aesthetics

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Fluent in spoken and written English

    • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
